How to remove bruises under the eyes quickly and permanently

What is bruising under the eyes
Bruises under the eyes are a cosmetic problem that usually do not indicate any medical condition. They can be blue, purple, gray, or brown, depending on your skin color. Sometimes bruises are accompanied by puffiness — bags under your eyes — but that’s not necessarily the case.

Circles under the eyes are of two kinds. The first is pigmented circles, which are usually found in people with a predisposition to hyperpigmentation. For example, this is an ethnic feature of Asians and Caucasians.

The second type is “vascular,” which is what we call a black eye. But this is nothing other than the translucent circular muscle of the eye. The skin in this area is the thinnest, in addition there is no good fat layer. Therefore, the purple discoloration of the muscle becomes visible.

Why do bruises appear under the eyes
Bruises appear due to thinning of the skin, the expansion of the subcutaneous vessels or hyperpigmentation, and sometimes – due to a combination of these factors.

Genetic trait
Dark circles around the eyes may simply be inherited in the family, for example, if the skin is very thin or the blood vessels are superficial. Also, the risk is higher in ethnically more swarthy people.

Thin skin around the eyes
Skin can become thin as you age. This is caused by a decrease in collagen production and a reduction in the fatty layer underneath.

Lack of sleep causes the skin to become thin and dry, and the blood vessels are more visible.

With dehydration, the skin thins and dulls, and the blood vessels appear brighter.

It develops due to excessive exposure to the sun. Especially in those who frequently rub their eyes, suffer from allergies or atopic dermatitis.

Atopic dermatitis and allergies
In these conditions, the subcutaneous vessels dilate, so the skin visually appears darker. Sometimes due to local inflammation, hyperpigmentation is added to this, and the shadows become even more noticeable.

Thyroid disorders
Dark circles under the eyes can be a symptom of an excess or deficiency of thyroid hormones.

How can you reduce black eye at home
It is unlikely to get rid of completely, but slightly brighten them and reduce the swelling, if it is possible.

Get some sleep
Such a simple and so complicated advice. But if the bruises arose from fatigue and lack of sleep, this method will help the best. Try to sleep at least 7 hours at night.
