Charles Perrault’s “Sleeping Beauty” is to be adapted into a horror film

ChampDog Films studio will shoot a horror film based on the fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty. Its filming will begin in the UK in August of this year. It is reported by the portal Bloody Disgusting.

The film will be called “Sleeping Beauty: The Massacre.” The producer and director will be Louise Warren, who worked on the horror adaptation of another famous fairy tale, called “The Curse of Cinderella.

In the plot of “Sleeping Beauty,” the beautiful princess Talia will be put to sleep by the evil Queen Velma, who claims the throne. She will enlist the help of dark powers and the occult for this purpose. But one day the princess will awaken, and “violent twist after violent twist with bloody and inventive deaths will follow.”
